Help SSA Students Travel to Professional Conferences
Visit here to help FUND Spitzer students to attend professional conferences and enrich their experience beyond the classroom.
Conferences are an important chance for students to present their work, expand their perspectives and network with leaders in the field of architecture, landscape architecture and urban design.
These events are an integral part of developing a student’s professional background. Not only do they get exposed to different types of practice in widely varying geographic locales but they also learn résumé building skills and portfolio enhancement tips while gaining verbal presentation capabilities. Professional conferences create networking opportunities that add to a student’s experience, a necessary component for standing out to graduate schools and companies.
Finally, the participation of our students helps to enhance the reputation of the Spitzer School on a national level and to maintain our position as leaders in the practice of architecture.
Possible conferences include:
American Society of Landscape Architect (ASLA) Annual Meeting & Expo
American Institute of Architect Students (AIAS) Signature Conference Forum
American Institute of Architects Convention (AIA)
National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) National Conference
Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture (ACADIA) Conference
Who would receive the conference grant?
Students need to be in good academic standing. They will apply to the Dean’s office. If accepted, they will receive a grant to go towards conference fees and travel expenses.
Foster the next generation of visionary architects!
The more money we raise the more students can participate.
Thank you for your support!
