In recognition of his des ign practice and research endeavors\, he was awarded the 2016-17 Fulbrigh t Distinguished Chair in Helsinki\, Finland\; the 2009-10 Gorham P. Steve ns Rome Prize Fellow in Architecture\; the 2013 Boston Design Biennial Aw ard\; the 2011 Architecture League of New York Prize\; and the 2011 AIA N ational Young Architect Award. He was selected to participate in the 2017- 2019 Canadian Center for Architecture/Mellon Foundation project on Environ mental Histories in Architecture. He has published several books\, includi ng\, this fall\, Empire\, State &\; Building\; Insulating Modernism: Isolated and Non-Isolated Thermodynamics in Architecture\; The Hierarchy of Energy in Architecture: Emergy Analysis with Ravi S. Srinivasan\; Con vergence: An Architectural Agenda for Energy\; Thermally Active Surfaces in Architecture\, and Integrated Design in Contemporary Architecture.
