 cture. This evening event will include studio visits and an info session +

 \, alumni\, and student speakers TBA\n\nThe MS Arch program is directed at
  students who wish to deepen their design abilities and expand their knowl
 edge of contemporary theory\, technology\, and environmental systems. The 
 three studios in the sequence — which can be completed in one calendar y
 ear or spread out over a longer period — provide in-depth studies of arc
 hitectural problems that seek to integrate the forms\, ideas\, and technol
 ogies that anticipate construction. Projects may also explore the far boun
 daries of the discipline of architecture\, participating in the research b
 ehind its continuing reinvention.\n\nStudents have the opportunity to take
  a number of elective courses and pursue independent study coursework and 
 teaching opportunities in areas of their own special interest. These may b
 e selected from programs of the Spitzer School as well as from other City 
 University of New York institutions\, including the Graduate Center. Stude
 nts are strongly encouraged to seek these points of conjuncture between ar
 chitecture and related disciplines that are most meaningful to their indiv
