DESCRIPTION: \n\nJean-Pierre Pranlas-Descours\, architect\, urban planne
 r\, author and professor of architecture\, has developed a permanent work 
 on the articulation of scales\, defining himself as an architect of the te
 rritory.  From the drawing of shelves to furniture in a library to the pr
 oject of a large metropolitan area\, Jean-Pierre Pranlas-Descours inscri
 bes his work in a continuity of thought creating situations in which peopl
 e thrive.   \n\nIn order to serve this ambition\, all projects are link
 ed by a reflection on the materiality through which all architectural thou
 ght is embodied.  Everything is a subject of architecture\, light\, mater
 ials\, thresholds\, and continuities.  Primarily as an architect\, Pranl
 as-Descours develops his activity in built buildings\, drawn territories\
 , theoretical writings and a teaching activity centered on the architectur
 al project as a creative process.  Professor Pranlas-Descours will be t
 eaching as a Visiting Professor in the fall 2019 semester at the Bernard a
 nd Anne Spitzer School of Architecture.   \n\n \n\nIntroduction by Ass
