SUMMARY:Urban Design Graduate Program Info Session
DESCRIPTION:\n\nLearn about the Spitzer School's post-professional program 
 for students with architecture and landscape architecture backgrounds: Urb
 an Design (Master of Urban Planning). This session will include a welcome 
 by Interim Dean Marta Gutman\, a program overview by Professor Julio Salce
 do-Fernandez\, a discussion with faculty and recent graduates\, and Q&amp\
 ;A. Confired speakers: Professor Hector Tarrido Picart\, Nadia Constan-Tat
 os '18\, Anabella Acevedo Peña '22\, and Director of Graduate Affairs Han
 nah Borgeson.\n\nThe Urban Design program is newly centered on participato
 ry urbanism\, the premise that only a combination of leadership\, technica
 l\, and design skills will lead to meaningful change in the way we think\,
  plan\, and construct our built environments. Building on the leadership o
 f the late Michael Sorkin\, the program is specifically designed to foster
  new conversations in response to our urbanized planetary crises and provi
 de transformative alternatives that radically reimagine our cities as equi
 table\, diverse\, resourceful\, and ecologically nimble.\n\nSpitzer School
  grad programs share a teaching\, research\, and design environment known 
 as the unit system. Within year-long\, team-taught\, vertically integrated
  design units\, students and professors work together to define questions 
 and propose design solutions. Just like in the professions\, students synt
 hesize diverse skills and subject areas into their projects. Check out thi
