LARE Review 2017
Saturday, Feb 11, 2017 - Sunday, Feb 12, 2017
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture
141 Convent Avenue
New York, NY 10031
Organized by ASLA-NY
Landscape architects who have recently passed the LARE (Landscape Architect Registration Examination) teach this weekend prep course. They will review material and practice problems, including the new test format, and share with you the latest in study techniques, test-taking tips, and an understanding of the general content of each section. Each instructor prepares his or her own handouts to accompany their custom presentation covering the items listed previously. At the end of each presentation participants will complete practice problems for a final review and Q&A period.
Many of the CLARB recommended books will be on hand for students to look through (not take home). Instructors will provide a preview of what CLARB recommends, as well as their opinions on each book. The ASLA-NY LARE Review has gained a reputation for being a great way to jump-start studying, focus efforts efficiently, and get ready to pass those tests!
On Saturday, the review begins with an overview of the new test format and gaining licensure in New York and neighboring states. The remaining Saturday sessions focus on how to prepare for Sections 1 (Project and Construction Administration) and Section 2 (Inventory and Analysis). The Sunday session covers Section 3 (Design) and Section 4 (Grading, Drainage and Construction Documentation).
Participants may register for the entire course (both Saturday and Sunday) or for either day. See http://aslany.org/event/lare-review-2017/ for the full schedule and registration.
