New for Fall 26:
Our 3D Printing and Laser Lab is staffed by amazing Student College Assistants who must be in the room while the machines are run.
They ensure that all projects are safe and comply with the Digital Fabrication Operation Handbook while helping teach Spitzer students how the machines work and assisting with their projects.
During these hours, the Digital Fabrication Lab will be open and staffed:
• Mondays 10 – 2
• Tuesdays 10 – 5
• Wednesdays 11 – 2
• Thursdays 10 – 2
• Fridays: 11 – 5
Hours will expand after Week 2 in preparation for Midterms.
Laser Cutting and 3D printing will end 30 minutes before closing time to ensure safe machine operation and maintenance.
Any administrative questions from faculty or staff should be directed to: Elijah Williams, Technical Director for the Digital Fabrication and Robotics Labs.

Important General Notes:
During busy periods at the lab, a strict order of priority will be established, applying equally to all students.
All work must be related to SSA coursework; no Etsy shop pieces or work for people outside of SSA is permitted on these machines.
Make sure to always check the hours before planning for your project. Feel free to come by the lab for guidance on expected machine run time and potential optimizations.
The fabrication facilities are closed during holidays, lecture evenings, and the time periods between the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
The Fabrication Shop and Digital Fabrication Lab may be fully or partially closed during Orientation days.
Faculty should coordinate with Elijah Williams in advance for projects that will interfere with the students’ ability to use the lab for Studio-related work.
