Dan and Marie Law Adams are the founding partners of Landing Studio, an architecture, design, and research practice whose work negotiates the intersection of large scale global infrastructure with urban environments. Since 2005, Landing Studio has developed projects with port facilities and transit infrastructure entities in Boston and New York by designing shared industrial and public access landscapes, light installations, festivals, exhibitions, tours, and industrial/community operations agreements. Landing Studio received a Progressive Architecture award for the Rock Chapel Marine project in 2013, the Architectural League Prize in 2015, and they were a winner of the Design Biennial Boston in 2015.

Dan Adams holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Harvard University, where he received the AIA Medal and Kelly Thesis Prize, as well as the Druker Research Fellowship for ongoing research in the global production and transport of salt.

Marie Law Adams is a licensed architect and received a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she was a Presidential Fellow and recipient of the AIA Medal.

All lectures are free, open to the public, and held at 6:30 pm in the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture Sciame Auditorium. Continuing Education Credit for registered New York architects is available.
