Take a look at new buildings transforming the skyline, step inside infrastructure facilities keeping the city running, explore parks offering respite, discover state-of-the-art performance spaces, visit manufacturing workshops, browse private collections, and much more.

Visit the flagship public architecture school in New York City for rare, behind-the-scenes access to a cutting-edge Robotics Lab, the Sorkin Reading Room, and city views on a new rooftop space.

About This Event

As the flagship public architecture school in NYC, The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York is committed to shaping the future of the built environment. For OHNY Weekend, visitors are invited to a rare, behind-the-scenes look at where tomorrow's designers and urban thinkers hone their craft.

Visitors will explore a variety of unique academic and creative spaces on a drop-in basis. Step into a cutting-edge Robotics Lab to see how advanced technology is transforming architectural fabrication, and visit the Sorkin Reading Room, dedicated to its namesake, Michael Sorkin, a distinguished late professor of architecture. Take in the sights from the newly renovated rooftop, a spectacular vantage point.

In the exhibition gallery, visitors will discover "Design Matters: In Favor of Urban Public Space." This timely exhibition celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) European Prize for Urban Public Space, offering profound insights into the design and preservation of shared urban environments.

Make a day of it: the historic Great Hall of Shepard Hall at CCNY is also open for Drop-In visits on Saturday.
