Ashley Dawson is currently the Currie C. and Thomas A. Barron Visiting Professor in the Environment and the Humanities at the Princeton Environmental Institute. He is the author of Extinction: A Radical History (O/R Press, 2016), as well as numerous other books and essay collections. Dawson recently finished writing a book entitled Extreme Cities: The Peril and Promise of Urban Life in the Age of Climate Change for Verso Books (out in October) and is currently working on Dual Power: A Handbook for Energy Revolution, a book about global movements resisting extreme extraction and fighting for energy democracy in an age of political reaction.
