Following the success of the SSA’s first sponsored studios supported by CetraRuddy in the fall and spring 2017 semesters, a group of 4th-year BArch and 3rd-year MArch students took part in an advanced design studio in spring of 2018 sponsored by the New York City-based real estate development company, Artimus. The studio, taught by Prof. Fabian Llonch, researched East Harlem and developed proposals in the spirit of the East Harlem Neighborhood Plan, a rezoning effort to construct and preserve 200,000 units of affordable housing by 2025 as part of the mayor’s Housing Plan.
