Dear Spitzer Community,

Replacement of the plaza deck at the main entrance of The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture will begin on Friday, August 14, 2026, and is anticipated to continue for approximately four months. This work is necessary to correct ongoing water infiltration deficiencies to the interior of the building at the lower level.

The work will generate noise, particularly during the demolition phase, which is expected to last approximately two weeks. During this time, the stairs leading to the main entrance will be closed, and the ADA complaint ramp will be available as the main access to the building.

While the work may temporarily impact your usual building access, safe access and passage for all pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we continue to improve the infrastructure on campus.
