Other Programs

Study Abroad

The Spitzer School offers two types of study abroad opportunities. There is a faculty-led, 4-credit summer study abroad program (2025 destination: Barcelona) that is in English and open to all students. There are also semester-long exchange opportunities for architecture students at the following institutions:

  • Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura in Barcelona, Spain
  • Escuela Superior Tècnica de Arquitectura in Madrid, Spain
  • Munich University of Applied Sciences, Germany
  • Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
  • Bahcesehir University in Istanbul, Turkey (on hold)

For semester-long exchange programs, tuition is due to CCNY only. For B Arch students, semester-long exchange is feasible in fourth or fifth year. For M Arch and MS Arch students, exchange programs are workable in the final year. For any students who do an exchange in their final semester of study, graduation will be delayed.

Spitzer students are also eligible for other CCNY and CUNY study abroad possibilities, though these may not count for credit toward your major.

Please see the college-wide Study Abroad Office website and Global CUNY website for more information including language of study requirements.
