Adjunct Lecturer Chelsea Haines, who teaches architectural history at the Spitzer School, has been awarded a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship to support research in Israel for her doctoral dissertation in the Art History Program at the CUNY Graduate Center. Her dissertation, “Staging Modernism, Building Nationalism: Israeli Art Exhibitions, 1948–1965,” explores the intersection of modernist art and architecture with nation-building in Israel during the first two decades of the state’s history.
