Past / Present / Future: Eastchester Heights, Bronx
The Spring 2019 second-year Master of Landscape Architecture studio worked in Eastchester Heights in the Bronx in order to restore courtyards in the five-block complex to their previous glory as beautiful places for multiple generations to socialize. For the project, the studio broke into two teams and developed exciting design proposals: a biomorphic scheme called the “Meander” and a rectilinear scheme called the “Terraces.” The charrette was sponsored by the developer, Taconic Investment Partners.
