Urban Design Program Joins the DRIA

The Spitzer School’s Graduate Urban Design Program has been accepted as partner university for the DRIA, Designing Resilience in Asia, an international research program on architecture and resilience. City College joins 25 institutions from around the world in the DRIA Network Team.

According to Urban Design Program Director Julio Salcedo-Fernandez, “DRIA provides a unique opportunity to learn from and exchange perspectives with international partner universities that also focus on designing for urban resilience, which has been crystallizing as a global and local concern for our faculty and students.”

During the spring 2020 semester, a team of students from the Urban Design program will work on an entry for the DRIA’s 2020 International Competition in July in Bangkok, Thailand. The site is Naga City, Philippines.
