Spitzer School Dean Search Opens
The Bernard & Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York invites nominations and applications for the position of dean, the academic and administrative leader of the school and its urban research and advocacy center, the J. Max Bond Center. The school seeks an inspirational leader, ambitious entrepreneur, and collegial partner who will articulate a clear vision for the school that translates into a sound operational plan, engages a critical, cogent, and imaginative pedagogy, and enhances the school’s impressive diversity.

A search committee reflecting the different Spitzer School constituencies, including faculty, students, and campus colleagues will review applications, screen candidates, and make recommendations to the college president. Applications will be received until the position is filled, with review of applications to begin on April 22, 2021. All nominations, inquiries, and applications will be kept confidential until a limited number of finalists are identified for campus interviews, at which point the names and résumés of finalists only may become public.
