We are pleased to announce that Associate Professor Ahu Aydogan is a recipient of a Cycle 54 PSC-CUNY Research Award for $6,000.00 to begin July 1st, 2023.

The title of Prof. Aydogan’s research proposal is “Experimentation of Plant-Based Filter Prototype for Removing Indoor Air Pollutants.” This award will help Prof. Aydogan to purchase the equipment that will be used to test the air-cleaning capacity of a plant-based filtration system that is being built this semester.

The Professional Staff Congress – City University of New York (PSC-CUNY) Research Award Program was established as a major vehicle to encourage and support faculty research. PSC-CUNY seeks to enhance the University’s role as a research institution, further the professional growth and development of its faculty, and provide support for the established and junior scholar. Awards are distributed by the University Committee on Research Awards (UCRA), a faculty committee, and administered by RFCUNY.

Congratulations to Prof. Aydogan!
