Solar Roofpod Open House

Atop the Spitzer School of Architecture sits a solution to NYC’s energy and emission problems. This Solar Roofpod—a student-designed, plus-net-energy roof pavilion—is a featured site during the citywide cultural event Open House New York Weekend. Student designers-builders and Professor Christian Volkmann will discuss the creation of the Solar Roofpod, participation in the Solar Decathlon, and the Roofpod’s new installation as a living classroom.

Also that day at CCNY, Shepard’s Hall historic Great Hall will be open 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. for Open House New York, with tours at 12:00, 2:30 and 4:00 p.m.
